sup all. hope your weekends were great. welcome to the first full work week of 2009 [start with the good news first...]. the leaders got together yesterday for a solid mini-retreat to pan out some things for our ministry and it was an awesome time of prayer and planning. thanks for praying with us. read on, read on for your weekly focus digest.

1. church-wide prayer gathering [1.08] transformation center @ 7pm :: we're starting up the semi-monthly prayer gatherings again. seriously, these are great times to get together with the church and pray for the things that God has placed on our hearts. especially, if you call this your church home, it's a great way to catch up with the vision God has laid out for us and to pray corporately.
2. friday morning prayer [1.09] transformation center @ 6:30am :: grab your java and head on over to the transformation center at 6:30 to join in on some joint morning prayer. if you committed to go, for whatever reason, maybe a wake up call from your lcg could help you out? at any rate, at least the days are getting brighter earlier.
3. focus large group [1.09] weatherstone clubhouse @ 7pm :: we're going to start this year in a joint focus large group. come on out! we're going to get a jump-start on the new year together and it's always a good time.
4. awakening: 21 days of prayer and fasting [1.11-1.31] :: yes, 21 days of glorious fasting and prayer. not only is this an awesome chance for us to seek God corporately, but also it could be an awesome witness as people may inquire as to what we're doing. hit this website up and sign up to fast. i think the main purpose of the fast is at least to fast, regardless of what is being fasted, feel me? click the link and find out more!
5. experiencing ministry [1.11] transformation center @ 2pm :: as always, if you're interested in building the church with something a bit more tangible and structured, get plugged into a ministry team! maybe you have a gift that could really benefit the church? you can go here to find out and sign up if you are so inclined.
6. winter retreat prayer gathering [1.12-1.15] transformation center @ 9:30-10:30pm :: in preparation for the winter retreat, the church will be hosting a number of prayer gatherings. please make the time to come out and prepare as the whole body. it's really something when all the people come together to pray for something in unity. of course, even you cannot go to the retreat, we always appreciate partnerships in prayer so i'll see you there!
7. winter retreat [1.16-1.18] gull lake conference center :: yup, the regular registration period has begun. it is not too late to sign up! if you cannot sign up due to financial reasons, please know that this does happen and we are prepared to go through some options and work something out. please notify moses if you have any questions or would be interested in working something out for registration. it's going to be an awesome time of worship and prayer. please seriously consider this opportunity. sign up!
